I must confess that I wasn’t too fussed about visiting this place. However, once we got there I have to say I was very impressed. This Minar (tower) was constructed some 800 years ago! It is absolutely huge. The ruins in the background are of the very first mosque in India. This is a truly beautiful place that has buildings dating back before the birth of Jesus (the guide kept emphasising this fact). There has been some form of building work on this site for the past 3,000 years.
